Another Crossover
This one has a little more informed crossover point. I ended up with 1800Hz LR4. Hopefully this will be low enough to attenuate the peak in 3rd harmonic on the woofer (centered @ 1600) as well as get rid of most of the weird peak in high order harmonics in the tweeter around 2k. The impedance looks ok, only dropping to 4 ohm min in the 3k-4k region. Listening to one speaker with the crossover emulator built into soundeasy this crossover sounds pretty good.

You expressed being concerned about reaching xmax in the .5 cubic foot box, I would say that the xlim (mechanical xmax) is quite a bit greater than the gap/coil height measurement based xmax, and that I wouldn’t worry so much about the xmax with this woofer, unless you want to play really loud without a subwoofer?
.5 cubic foot (with the right port/tuning) should be a decent size box for this woofer. Did you get around to building a larger box and testing yet?
If you were going to run them sealed, that seems like it should be plenty large? Have you tried playing them sealed using your receiver’s active high pass to crossover to the sub at ~ 80 Hz?
